Showing dedication and perseverance, thirty-six players and coaches made their way to New Orleans for the Foundation’s 4th Annual New Orleans Recovery Effort. They braved winter storm warnings, harsh weather, and missed flights, making it the largest group of volunteers to participate yet. Although rain limited the activities, everyone gave of their time and energy to make a contribution.

Volunteers at Cafe du Monde

During their downtime, the volunteers enjoyed the hospitality and spirit of New Orleans at the Rock-n-Bowl, daiquiris bars, visiting the French Quarter for beignets at Café Du Monde and watching parades.

The event coincided with the Halfmoons ‘Throw Me Something Rugger Tournament’ which had their largest team turnout since Katina with 14 teams attending. Many of the volunteers got an opportunity to play.
